A Suggested Itinerary
Day One
After arrriving at Bordeaux Airport you will enjoy an interesting ride in a deluxe mini executive coach to the Medoc region, one of the most famous wine areas of Bordeaux, for aperitifs and an early lunch in restaurant "Le St. Julien". Le St. Julien is a gastronomic restaurant where the local chateau owners invite their clients, probably because they can bring their own wines! You will enjoy some bottles through the best Bordeaux vintages, such as Chateau Margaux or Chateau Cheval Blanc.
After lunch, transfer to your 4* deluxe hotel, Relais de Margaux right in the heart of the Medoc vineyards, close to Chateau Palmer for time to relax in the gardens, play tennis or swim in the heated pool.
After a wash and brush up we'll head off for a private wine tasting at the "closed to the public" Chateau Palmer, First Growth of Margaux appellation. Its owner Charles Sichel, will lead the tasting and host you for a gastronomic five course dinner accompanied by several vintages of the simply superb Chateau Palmer, then liqueurs in the drawing room.
Day Two You can choose to take an early breakfast followed by a private show round of the unique wine museum at Chateau Mouton Rothschild before it opens to the public.
If this option is not wished, you can join the rest of the guests after breakfast, departing to St. Emilion, which is classified amongst the most beautiful villages of France.
Short time for a coffee in the square of the medieval hilltop village of St. Emilion, overlooking the surrounding vineyards before a private guided tour and wine tasting in Chateau Franc-Mayne, Grand Cru Classe Growth of St. Emilion. You will see the two hectares of quarries used now as caves to store the wines. This is all in great contrast to what you will have seen at Chateau Palmer. You will take luncheon in the atmospheric dining room.
After lunch, time for shopping and exploring in Bordeaux, then back for the return flight late afternoon.
This VIP experience is suitable for groups of up to 15 guests.
