On Safari with Jonathan Scott - At Little Governor's Camp - The Masai Mara
1st - 7th October 2011
Go this year - remember it forever
Leading this house party in the wilderness will be our unique line up of expert hosts, including BBC Big Cat presenter Jonathan Scott, award winning wildlife photographer Angie Scott, BBC wildlife cameraman Warren Samuels, Masai Chief Ben Kipeno, and renowned wildlife artist Jonathan Truss, among others.
You'll fly to the magical Masai Mara in Kenya for our annual 7 day 'Celebration Of African Wildlife And Tribal Life' and bring you up-close to the Big Five with game drives, a walking safaris and a breathtaking hot air balloon trip. The Celebration coincides with the Wildebeest and Zebra migration from the Mara back to Tanzania, so prepare to witness jaw-dropping river crossings as thousands of animals brave the Crocodiles lurking in the water to get to their destination.
Your accommodation for 6 nights at Little Governors' Camp will be one of only 17 luxury tents that surround a vast, lush waterhole where Elephant drink from the cool waters. Expect to see Giraffe strolling past too and families of Warthog snuffling around camp. Inside your boutique, canvas bolthole you'll find an enormous bed, an ensuite bathroom (hot and cold running water) and a terrace lit by the romantic glow of a gas lamp.Meals are wholesome, freshly cooked and would satisfy the appetite of a lion. You'll start each new day with a barbequed breakfast with fresh fragrant Kenyan coffee, lunch is taken alfresco too and then each night you'll relax enjoy a four-course dinner under the starry Kenyan skies.
