Rebecca Carrington
Rebecca Carrington is a classically trained cellist whose talent for comedy has taken her out of the orchestra pit and into the spotlight. She is an impressionist and comedienne, and with Joe, her 18th century cello, must be one of the world's most unusual double acts. They perform spoofs of everything, from Britney to Pavarotti and jazz to Bollywood. Following appearances on radio and tv, she is rapidly gaining an international reputation for her one woman show. Rebecca takes us on an around the world journey as she dips into Scottish piping, Irish jigs, Indian scitar, French chanson, Spanish guitar and more. Her classical talent should never be overlooked and her rendition of the classic folk song 'Walywaly' over one of Bach's unaccompanied cello suites is a tour de force. She's as nifty with one liners as she is at imitating accents from China to Brazil and from Spain to Japan. Rebecca creates a great show a Joyce Grenfell character for the 21st century.
