Here's how it works.
A number of interesting and unusual items from years gone by - some of them antique - will be on display. They will be passed around for closer examination at the dining tables.
Between courses, the Question Master will be asking "what", "why", "when" and "how much?" - Antiques Road Show style. Teams, usually of 3 or 4 guests each, give their sealed answers for marking later.
After main course, each team (or for smaller groups, each couple) will be given the true description for one of the items. They then have to make up two alternative descriptions, precisely what the item is, and what it was used for. Then, in turn, each team stand to present their three clues to the rest of the gathering, who will wave cards to vote "true" or "bluff". Will they go for laughs, or be serious and try to win the prize? It is different every time.
